mont amba 04:24
now I’ve made it real a sight no one can steal smell wood fires tonight see grey parrots fly over roads of dust coloured red from rust swiftly darkness falls flying foxes call from the Boulevard to roind-point Victoire spent my last dollar at a ntaba bar I don’t want to face the lies knowing I cannot pay the price and I don’t want to stay alert knowing I cannot make it work morning dog will bark churchyard speakers blast stepping on oil nuts when the power’s cut trapped inside a bus then the axle snaps Lumumba’s stiff salute a river bank’s dispute mont amba’s lost in mist please do not insist from Onatra port to the house of god I would like to raise my voice but I cannot make a choice I would want to curse the world tongue can’t form a single word (with no chance of disguise I saw a blood moon rise confronted with a vice bound by eternal ties)

will it ever make the news that none can thrive with tyrants on the loose? who am I to say to you the wildest lies are closest to the truth? ballot boxes swallowed names then spat them out into the pouring rain mud cascades into the drains we hope that no more innocent are slain stole the crown with sword and spear shelter them so they can disappear heat it blurs a sky once clear hungry prisoners crossed the line of fear once elected, undenied our eyes stay closed to struggle and to strife how d’you know who to defy when what you lack is access to the shrine?

the steamer 01:32
steer the steamer, whip the leash snatch & drill and make them bleed swallow silence with a sigh kill and let live as I please draw a breath thick with disease darkness heavy on our minds and hornbills are flying steal the ore collect the toll drunk with greed you’ve lost your soul sealed the future with a lie so spell it out
5.
two anthills 03:58
watch the stir of the wind in piles of dead leaves standing between two anthills my thoughts run free by the lakeside I notice a broken peace from so fragile a soul there is no release so I try to aim high, and I’m scoring low almost forced to deny that it hurts me so while aurora shines on her helpless son struggling with love & life he will speak in tongues while the doves fly in circles I’m pale and slow and it all reminds me of my life with you and I hope the symbols say it’s not wrong and I hope tomorrow I won’t be alone while I sit here, too lazy for taking sides a cloudless night sky it spins you, my northern light feel the moss on the trees by the path of life soaring on raven’s wings we will cry from joy if we stay believing then we’ll be fine and survive all the seasons through space and time though there might be a good reason to accuse me of high treason please see all we do is strive to be alive
